John and Betty Baker are well known in the Longhorn breeding community for their breeding and their involvement with the youth in their camp and their volunteering within longhorn organizations. However, they may be best known for the celebrity that they raised from a baby to an adult, the University of Texas' mascot - Bevo! Bevo is arguably the most famous Texas Longhorn steer. Join us today to hear how the Bakers became the owners of Bevo 13, 14 and today's 15, how they started in the longhorn industry and their legacy with the youth and their years providing a camp for kids at their ranch.
